As manufacturers comprehend the enormity of the sport utility vehicle market, so are they increasing the number of models within the various segments, small to large.  Honda has looked at the SUV market and decided that it could expand in there as well - alongside the CRV is a newly-reintroduced HR-V.

Honda is poised to make a spectacular move into the rapidly-growing compact SUV market segment via the arrival of a new model called HR-V.
The Thailand-sourced vehicle, which is built on a stretched Jazz platform and powered by an updated version of the 1.8-litre engine from the Civic, goes onto the New Zealand market on Friday


Today see’s the launch of Honda’s new HR-V but we were fortunate enough to get a sneak peek of what this SUV had on offer earlier this week.
Honda NZ asked us to meet them at the Villa Maria vineyard to proudly unveil their all new HR-V and we’re glad they did. It’s a crossover vehicle and stylishly fits into the ever increasing subcompact SUV category, with its coupe styling...

The new Honda HR-V is a new generation of crossover vehicle redefining space, quality and style. The HR-V’s design concept was summarised as ‘Dynamic Cross Solid’. The concept was to combine the elegance and fluidity of a coupe with the utility and strength of an SUV.
