Honda tops greenest vehicles list for 10th consecutive year
The American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy (ACEEE) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing energy efficiency as a means of promoting both economic prosperity and environmental protection. Recently, in the ACEEE's Green Book® Online ranking of environmentally responsible vehicles, the Civic GX ranked first, with the Civic Hybrid, Insight and Fit joining the Top 12.
This is the 10th consecutive year that a Honda vehicle has received the number one ranking and the 9th consecutive year that Honda vehicles have occupied at least three positions in the Top 12. The list-topping Civic GX, first introduced in 1998 and currently built at Honda Manufacturing of Indiana, LLC, is powered by natural gas and is the cleanest internal combustion vehicle certified by the US Environmental Protection Agency.
Said AHM Executive Vice President of Sales John Mendel, "Honda's rankings in the ACEEE study are emblematic of our commitment to lowering emissions and increasing fuel efficiency in all of our models."
