CRV adds two exciting new models to the CRV lineup
Two exciting new CRV models will be available from November, the 4WD RVi N and the 2WD CRV S manual. Honda is also upgrading the CRV Sport with some great new features.
Introduced to New Zealand in July this year, the CRV has received excellent feedback from buyers. The introduction of a mid-grade model and a 2WD manual option are welcome additions.
Incorporating the core benefits across the CRV lineup, the all new RVi N comes equipped with all of the standard CRV features that make living an active, busy lifestyle easier. Some of these features include a reversing camera; iMID Bluetooth phone and music streaming; front, side and curtain airbags; iPod integration; magic seats; and 17 inch alloy wheels.
Providing a step up in specifications from the 2.0-litre S, the new 4WD RVi N model shares the 2.4-litre i-VTEC engine with the Sport, and includes navigation, reversing sensors and roof rails.
Already one of the most advanced and luxurious SUV’s on the market, the CRV Sport becomes the CRV Sport N. The existing Sport comes with many tech features; powered leather heated seats; smart entry (proximity key); rain sensing wipers; auto headlights; and a sunroof. Upgrades include the addition of navigation; 18 inch alloy wheels; roof rails; HID headlights with active cornering lights; as well as front and rear parking sensors.
Staunch manual fans will be pleased too with the 2.0-litre i-VTEC 2WD CRV S manual being added to the lineup.
Across the range, the CRV provides excellent power and great fuel efficiency. Power is 114kW for the S and a class leading 140kW for the RVi N and Sport N. ADR fuel efficiency is 7.8 l/100km for the S Manual, 7.7 l/100km for the S Auto and 8.7 l/100km for both the RVi N and Sport N.
With a great mix of features, efficiency and power it is no surprise then that CRV has been a strong seller. The addition of these new models will help meet customer demand.
Graeme Meyer, Head of Marketing for Honda New Zealand explains "CRV has been a great success; the only thing holding back sales right now is how quickly we can get stock into the country. To date we have over 500 customers who have ordered CRV and while many are on the road, some customers are waiting until November for delivery.”
“Already, the CRV has been very popular and that success is expected to be augmented by the new additions. The feedback we are getting from customers is that the car fulfills the needs of their demanding lifestyles.” continues Mr. Meyer “All CRV models are packaged as an attractive, easy to drive, versatile SUV; allowing you to throw in your gear, your family or friends and head out wherever you want to go.”
Pricing starts at $37,900 for the 2WD S manual, $39,900 for the 2WD S auto, $46,600 for the RVi N and $51,700 for the Sport N.
