78096 All new 2017 Civic RS Sport Turbo•    A new class of Sports Premium 5-door Hatch
•    Powered by the award winning VTEC TURBO Engine

The completely reimagined and reinvented new Civic is the sportiest ever and sets a benchmark for the compact class in terms of space, fuel efficiency, safety features, interior quality, and dynamic performance. The new Civic has won a host of prestigious international and local automotive awards since launch.

The eagerly anticipated all new Honda Civic 5-door Hatch represents another significant step forward for Honda, building on the momentum generated by the introduction of the boldly styled Honda Civic sedan, which was the first of three key launch phases for the 10th generation Honda Civic.

“With the multi-award winning Honda Civic sedan success, achieving over 41% per cent of the private segment share since launch, we are looking forward to adding the Hatch body style in June, giving customers even more choice.” Nadine Bell, General Manager Marketing, Honda NZ.

Like the Honda Civic sedan, Hatch customers have the choice of the all new responsive 1.5L VTEC Turbo Engine that delivers the fuel efficiency of a Honda Jazz but with the performance of a Honda Accord, or the proven 1.8L i-VTEC Engine. Both engines are coupled with the latest Earth Dreams Technology CVT transmission.

The Civic’s engaging drive and impressive handling benefits from Honda’s Agile Handling Assist which has been developed to increase vehicle responsiveness and stability, offering drivers handling that is both exhilarating and secure. This brake vectoring technology was brought to mass production for Acura.

The Honda Civic Hatch shares its platform with the sedan variant - from the B-pillars rearwards, it is unique. The rear roofline is taller than the sedan to provide superior cargo space, while the rear overhang is shorter, adding to the vehicle’s style and sportiness.

All variants of the Honda Civic Hatch will feature a body coloured upper tailgate spoiler and a black lower rear spoiler, along with Piano Black grille and a sports interior environment with dark roof lining and pillar trims in place of the contrasting lighter interior colour on the sedan.

The Civic RS Sport Turbo Hatch offers the high level of driver spec and technology seen in the RS Sedan, but stands apart from the rest of the Hatch variants and the RS Sedan, with an aggressive ‘Type R’ style centrally mounted twin exhaust system, finished with chrome exhaust outlets.  In addition, the RS Sport Hatch also has a full lower body kit in Piano Black encompassing a front under spoiler, side skirts and rear under spoiler, plus the RS dark chrome treatment for the exterior door handles.

The interior of the all new Honda Civic 5-door Hatch offers all the latest driver features and connectivity in a wide, comfortable cabin suitable for today’s lifestyle requirements. Total storage capacity is up and there is a 60:40 split foldable back seat. The entire back seat can also be fully folded down to increase rear storage space even further.

2017 Civic 5-door Hatch pre-orders can be secured with Dealers now, and officially goes on sale in June 2017.
